My apologies for posting incorrect information, and thank you to The Independent for setting me straight:

Special meeting of the Edgewood Town Council

The special meeting is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday January 11, 2014.  The meeting will be held at Edgewood Elementary School. 

Here are the four items as listed as on the published agenda:

1.  Call to order.
2.  Pledge of Allegiance
3.  Discussion regarding Edgewood Areas Schools.
4.  Adjourn. 

If you require special accommodations at the meeting, want to submit comments prior to the meeting, or have questions contact the Town Clerk's office at 286-4518.  If possible, contact Ms. Muller at least five days prior to the meeting so that she will have time to process requests or answer questions. 

Planning Commission Archives Update

I have begun work on a Commission Agenda Summary for 2008 and in the process noticed that several sets of minutes were missing from the 2008 Commission Minutes folder on Drive.  The following information was uploaded today:

• June 2, 2008 (agenda)
• June 16, 2008 minutes
• July 7, 2008 minutes
• September 15, 2008 minutes

Only partial minutes for the following meetings are available at this time:

• April 21, 2008
• May 5, 2008

Commission minutes still missing:

• June 2, 2008 [ETA: These minutes are now available in draft form, but I am not sure the date on page heading is correct.]
• July 21, 2008 [ETA: These minutes are now available in draft form.]
• July 28, 2008 [ETA: Minutes for this meeting have not yet been found, although the August 4, 2008 minutes indicate approval of minutes for a meeting which took place on that date.]

I will upload missing information as soon as it's available and will publish the 2008 Commission Agenda Summary when it's completed.  I also hope to publish quarterly summaries of Commission work during calendar year 2014. 

GO Bond brochure with street names proposed for improvement called out:

The Town of Edgewood has published a new version of the GO Bond brochure; this one includes the three streets as approved by vote of the Town Council: 

1. Horton Road
2. Walker Road
3. Rainbow Road

Council Audio Uploaded to Drive

December 18, 2013 Council Meeting Wrap-up

Tuesday's vote by the Moriarty-Edgewood School Board to close Edgewood Elementary School set the tone of Wednesday's council meeting in Edgewood.  Mayor Brad Hill recounted the events from the previous evening's school board meeting, and contrasted the performance of the school board to that of the Edgewood town council.  He also told those present that he was misquoted in the newspaper.  He went on to say that the Town of Edgewood's relationship with Moriarty is not in jeopardy, but that if the school is closed the relationship between the Town of Edgewood and the Moriarty-Edgewood School District will be negatively affected.

Santa Fe County Commission Approves Sustainable Land Development Code (SLDC)

The SLDC was approved on Dec. 10, 2013 with some interesting conditions.  I would encourage readers to go to the news release which has been posted at the Santa Fe County website.

P&Z meeting wrap-up for 12/17/2013

The beginning of the meeting was delayed because neither Mayor Hill nor newly appointed Commissioner Krista Cashatt were present.  When it was determined that the Mayor would not attend due to a schedule conflict but that Ms. Cashatt would arrive shortly, the Commission decided to delay the start of the meeting.
