Upcoming town meetings

There will be a joint meeting of the Edgewood Governing Body and the Planning & Zoning Commission on October 17, 2016. The only substantive item on the agenda is a training session on parliamentary procedure.

A preliminary agenda for the Edgewood Town Council meeting scheduled for October 19 has been published as well.

Please visit the Agendas & Minutes Center at the town's website to obtain the final October 19 agenda and meeting packet which should be available by October 14th or 15th.

Upcoming public hearings

September 9, 2015: The Town of Edgewood Governing Body will hold a public hearing to consider proposed Ordinance 2015-07 the text of which is not yet available.  I will post the information if/when it is made available.  The informal word is that it concerns a project which is dependent upon the town's approval of the variance request on Marietta Court.

September 15, 2015 September 22, 2015: The Planning & Zoning Commission will revisit the public hearing of August 18, 2015 for the variance request on Marietta Court due to errors and omissions during the notification process for the original public hearing.   

P&Z agenda and packet for August 18, 2015

The information, including the staff report regarding the requests for variances at # 6 and # 8 Marietta Court, is now available in the agenda center.  Some of the larger format documents will need to be requested for transmission via e-mail.  I have already submitted an IPRA request for three of the pages and will post links when I receive the information. Copies of the packet information are also available on Drive. 

The project which is the subject of the public hearing is described by the applicants as being for a proposed four story Comfort Inn & Suites consisting of 72 rooms to be built adjacent to the south side of I-40 and fronting on Marietta Court to the east of Tractor Supply.  The variances requested are for increased building height, reduced building setbacks, and increased numbers of and heights for signage.

The preliminary council agenda for August 19, 2015 is now posted at the town website as is the P&Z agenda for August 18, 2015. 

Audio for the July 25, 2015 special town council meeting has been posted as has the audio file for the August 5, 2015 town council meeting.

Copies of the agendas will be placed on Drive in the appropriate folders located in ToE Public Information, but copies of audio files will be stored offline. 

P&Z special meeting July 30, 2015

A special meeting has been called; the agenda and packet are now available for viewing/downloading from the town's website.  The agenda contains calls for public hearings for two variances; one from the Zoning Ordinance, and another from the Sign Ordinance.  A copy is also available on Drive.
